As part of Kings Laundry service to Nursing Homes, we can launder Residents' Personal Clothing.

All items of Residents Personal Clothing are carefully cleaned and are delivered back to the nursing home or independant living community.

Clinical studies have shown that Residents Personal clothes, bed linen and towels can become heavily contaminated by personal or environmental organisms. If appropriate precautions are not followed when laundering these materials then there is a risk of cross-contamination.

Outbreaks of fungal infections and gastroenteritis in hospitals and in community care settings have been reported. In many cases these were related to inappropriate handling and laundering of soiled linen.

Kings Laundry use Industry best practice procedures in the collecting, transporting, handling, washing, and drying of soiled fabric materials, including Resident's Personal Clothing. By doing so the risk of cross-contamination is virtually eliminated.
